Chairman of Isle of Man Post Office Ray Harmer MHK presents The Master Gunner General Sir Timothy Granville-Chapman GBE KCB with a framed set of stamps which marks the illustrious history of the Royal Artillery in this its 300th year. The presentation was made this week while the Master Gunner was on the Island as a guest of Tynwald in this our National Week.
On receiving the frame the Master Gunner said: "These stamps are very spectacular and they please me greatly. I am particularly delighted to see Major Kate Philp featured on them. She is a wonderful ambassador for the Royal Artillery. Thank you very much indeed."
The Master Gunner also signed six first day covers which will be auctioned to raise funds for service charities.
