Isle of Man Post Office is delighted to once again exhibit at this year's Save the Children's annual Festival of Trees event at Ronaldsway Airport. This year the Post Office has chosen to depict a wintery scene which resonates with the timeless classic novel 'The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe', an enchanting tale that has mesmerised readers of all ages for over half a century. The festival which was opened on 27 November runs until 6 January 2016 with the winners announced shortly after.
The Post Office's scene entitled 'Step into our magical winter wonderland this Christmas' captures the iconic images of Narnia from the book with Aslan the majestic lion, the Snow Queen's Crown and a magical wardrobe with an entrance to the snowy world of Narnia. In addition, this year's display provides details of the Post Office's convenient foreign currency service which is available across its network of Post Office branches and online at www.iompost.com.
Sarah Read, Isle of Man Post Office Sponsorship Committee Chairman said: "The Isle of Man Post Office is pleased to continue its tradition of supporting Save the Children's annual Festival of Trees event, an initiative that helps the charity generate vital funds to support vulnerable children in the UK and around the world who are less privileged than ourselves."
Passengers travelling through the Ronaldsway Airport between now and early January will be able to enjoy the wide variety of exhibits on display from local schools and businesses including the Isle of Man Post Office's and vote for their favourite.
The Isle of Man Post Office Sponsorship Committee aims to support a variety of local initiatives throughout the year and is always keen to hear from individuals and organisations looking for support which it may be able to help with.
