Isle of Man Post Office (IOMPO) is pleased to announce it has appointed a new sub postmaster for Port St Mary.
From 28th February, Mr David East will take over from outgoing sub postmaster Mr Jeff Calvert. Having bought the newsagents on Bay View Road in Port St Mary, Mr East applied and was successful in being awarded the contract to provide counter services on behalf of IOMPO and its commercial partners from his newsagents.
Mr Chris Thomas MHK, Chair of IOMPO, said: “On behalf of the IOMPO Board, I wish to thank Mr Calvert and his wife Tina for their tenure and for agreeing to facilitate a smooth transition of the counter service to Mr East, I wish everyone involved well for the future.”
During the changeover and training period, there will be some variations to the opening hours of Port St Mary Post Office as follows, and IOMPO wish to thank customers in advance for their patience and understanding:
