Isle of Man Post Office is delighted to announce Ellan Vannin Fuels (EVF) has been appointed as the sub postmaster agency at Foxdale Post Office following the resignation of the current postmaster.
Ellan Vannin Fuels's nominated official is General Manager Phil Downs who will run the agency from the existing premises: Main Road, Foxdale, Isle of Man, IM4 3EF with effect from today (June 20). The contact telephone number for the office remains the same – 801295 – as does the counter clerk who will continue to offer the same reliable and efficient postal service.
Isle of Man Post Office would like to thank Adrian Christian of the Wessex Garage who has been the sub postmaster of the Foxdale agency during the past 14 years, for all his hard work and dedication, in delivering a high standard of postal services to the Foxdale community.

"After we agreed the sale of the Garage to Ellan Vannin Fuels (EVF), I was very happy that I have been able to assist in passing over the job as Sub Postmaster to Phil Downs (EVF). As a local resident and a Patrick commissioner, I know how important this local store and Post Office is to the community and I am sure Ellan Vannin Fuels will ensure that the shop will be here for them for many years to come."
