An investment in the latest Ricoh C9110 printing technology promises the delivery of enhanced quality and efficiency for clients of Secure Direct Mail (SDM), part of the Isle of Man Post Office. The new equipment has been unveiled ahead of its attendance at the ICE and LAC shows in London.
The SDM team will be on hand to discuss the new equipment's print capabilities at their stand at LAC. The latest addition will facilitate the rapid turnaround of high quality DM campaigns for clients. It features more formats, finishes and larger stock profile than the company was previously able to offer.
Lisa Duckworth, Isle of Man Post Office Commercial Director, commented: "The headlines around DM in recent years have all focused on technological integration, which has revolutionised the sector, but we often forget that print technology has also been rapidly developing at the same time. The printed matter remains vital to drive players to the online element of the campaign, which often then features a game or a scratchcard mechanic.
"We are increasingly finding that clients want to experiment with carefully targeted, bespoke campaigns and personalisation, which is why increasing our printing capability with a wider range of finishing options is a valuable asset. The new investment means we can offer rapid turnaround, higher quality and a variety of different finishes according to the requirements of each campaign."
SDM was set up to meet the Direct Mail requirements of the rapidly growing gambling sector on the Isle of Man and the team now work with eGaming operators and affiliates across the UK and beyond. The team offers a one stop shop for DM campaigns, covering the entire process from print to postage and response.
As part of the Isle of Man Post Office, the SDM team are able to manage the timing of mailings going out and track any returns. The company is certified to the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 standard, which means that all data is held securely and managed in a professional manner.
The company also offers a bespoke digital scratchcard product that brings together its Direct Mail offering with the latest mobile technology. This can be used as an online engagement mechanism for promotional mailers to players, offering instant response and gratification.
"By evolving and integrating in line with technological developments, Direct Mail is now better placed than ever to deliver ROI," added Lisa. "Many people now receive their bank statements and bills via email, so the post has become something you can actually look forward to, plus a high quality mailer can grasp the attention much more effectively than its electronic equivalent."
The Secure Direct Mail team will be attending ICE at London Excel from February 3rd to 4th. They will then have a stand (AZ8) for LAC at London Olympia from February 5th to 7th, where a business card prize draw will be held to win an iPad Mini.
