On Friday 24th March staff from Isle of Man Post Office celebrated Red Nose Day 2017. An incredible £361.64p was raised for the initiative.
The Post Office took part in the day by holding bake sales around the business where by staff baked a range of delectable items, cakes and biscuits, ready for the day which were then brought in and sold to raise monies for the initiative.
The Red Nose Day initiative was first launched in 1988 and has since which become something of a British institution. The day is held every two years and the money raised helps people living incredibly tough lives in the UK and across the rest of the world.
Sarah Read, Isle of Man Post Sponsorship Committee Chairman said: "The Post Office is always ready to support and take part in fundraising initiatives and we had no hesitation in supporting Red Nose Day 2017 with the proceeds raised from our recent fundraiser. Red Nose Day is a fabulous initiative with the money raised helping to change lives for the better."
Isle of Man Post Office Sponsorship Committee aims to support a variety of local initiatives throughout the year and is always keen to hear from individuals and organisations looking for support which it may be able to help with.
