Isle of Man Post Office (IOMPO) wishes to advise its customers that following the announcement yesterday that postal workers in the UK have voted in favour of industrial action, it will be monitoring the situation closely.
The ballot is for members of the UK Communications Workers Union only and is a dispute with Royal Mail and does not involve IOMPO and its employees.
While no industrial action is planned as yet, IOMPO will be liasing with its account manager in Royal Mail on any developments and any potential impact which would affect Isle of Man customers.
Royal Mail is still in mediation with the Communication Workers Union and committed to reaching a solution. In the meantime, it's business as usual in Royal Mail with all mail being processed and delivered in the UK as normal.
As and when any updates on the situation are available, IOMPO will advise its customers.
