Isle of Man Post Office would like to pay tribute to John Kennaugh who sadly passed away on 21st September 2015. John featured on our 50th anniversary of Manx Radio stamps which were issued in October last year and pictorially reflected some of the history, talents, news and events that the station has seen since 1964. For many years John had co-presented the Countryside programme on Manx Radio, bringing the news and issues of the Island's agricultural industry to the everyday listener. John was not only a broadcaster and farmer, but a key character in many spheres of Island life including being a preacher, magistrate, Captain of the Parish, commissioner and former president of Manx National Farmers' Union.He touched the lives of so many and Isle of Man Post Office remembers John fondly along with a nation which is mourning a true Manxman in every sense of the word.
