The Isle of Man Post Office is confident of a bright future for Direct Mail following its successful attendance at the LAC and ICE trade shows in London, where the team met with an overwhelmingly positive response to their DM services.
The team from Secure Direct Mail (SDM), Isle of Man Post Office's dedicated Direct Mail division, attended the shows to showcase its latest in-house print capability, which offers even faster turnaround and enhanced print quality. The investment has been made to meet rising demand, fuelled by continued growth in the Direct Mail sector, with total UK sector spend expected to exceed £1 billion in 2016.
Lisa Duckworth, Isle of Man Post Office Commercial Director, commented: "Our discussions with existing and potential clients at LAC and ICE have confirmed what we already knew. Direct Mail is continuing to develop within the industry and, thanks to rapid developments in print and online technology, it's now seen as an integral part of the marketing mix."
A glut of email marketing has combined with a high volume of untargeted mail to make Direct Mail an even more attractive channel to engage with new and existing customers in the iGaming sector. Well planned campaigns, with strategic targeting and personalisation, can deliver a much higher ROI and, with 82% of all Direct Mail being opened, the cost of a postal campaign looks more attractive than ever.
Lisa added: "Statistics show that 34% of marketing professionals are taking a fresh look at Direct Mail in 2016 and, with our continued investment in in-house print capabilities, we're able to deliver even more effective campaigns. The sector is evolving to meet the demands of the online age and the key to this is successful integration with other channels, which is why 96% of DM campaigns now offer an online response."
SDM was set up to meet the requirements of the rapidly growing iGaming sector on the Isle of Man and the team now work with gambling businesses across the UK and beyond. The team offers a total package for DM campaigns, covering the entire process from print to postage and response. The company also offers a bespoke platform that can be adapted as an online engagement mechanism for promotional mailers and scratchcard campaigns.
