Isle of Man Post Office (IOMPO) has today (Friday 21st October 2022) published a request seeking expressions of interest on the Isle of Man Government portal for the provision of postal, parcel or kiosk services in Kirk Michael and Laxey.
It comes following the decision by the incumbent sub postmistresses in both Kirk Michael and Laxey to terminate their contract for service with effect from 31st December 2022, the timing of which is purely coincidental. This opportunity is initially for a limited period until 30th June 2023 whilst IOMPO works to secure agreements for key counter services provided on behalf of Government. IOMPO believe this opportunity would need to complement an existing business that is looking to increase its footfall and generate an incremental additional income.
