Customers will be able to pay government rents and fixed penalty fines using Isle of Man Post Office's self-service Pay and Post kiosks from October 28.
The additional services form part of an on-going plan to introduce new payment facilities via the kiosks in a bid to offer customers more choice in the way they transact their business. There are currently 10 Pay and Post kiosks across the Island, mostly situated in non-postal locations, providing customers with greater access to post office retail services at a time and place to suit them.
Pay and Post kiosks provide a quick and simple way to purchase stamps, weigh and pay for letters and parcels and pay utility bills, including gas, phone, electricity and government rates. Customers use a simple touch screen device enabling them to beat any queue and this latest functionality will be a welcome boost to customers.
Peter Cropper, Operations Director, Isle of Man Post Office said: "For some time we have been keen to make access to our services even more widely available to customers than the normal working hours of 9.00am to 5.30pm and we hope that the additional services available through our kiosks goes another step further towards meeting their needs and expectations."
He added: "Each of the locations where we have chosen to place kiosks offers early morning and late night opening hours. This gives customers more flexibility in the times they can choose to transact their postal business. With the additional facility of being able to pay Government rents and fixed penalty fines via our kiosks, we hope this will provide added choice to customers who would like to transact such payments at times and places which are perhaps more convenient for their needs."
Pay and Post kiosks are located in the following locations across the Island:
