On August 15, the centenary of the Panama Canal, the British Embassy of Panama City and Her Majesty´s Ambassador presented Jorge Quijano, the Chief Executive Officer of the Panama Canal Authority with a professionally framed Isle of Man Post Office Panama Canal miniature sheet cover and presentation pack, kindly donated by the Post Office to celebrate the 100th anniversary.

On Sunday at 5:20pm the final Douglas Corporation Horse Tram of 2014 departed from Derby Castle carrying its passengers and 300 special postmark covers produced by the Post Office to commemorate its final return journey of the season until spring 2016 when it reopens following promenade works.
