VE Day 80th Anniversary

Collection Issue Date: 15th April 2025

Celebrating the 80th anniversary of VE Day

To celebrate the 80th anniversary of VE Day, Isle of Man Post Office presents a set of six stamps reflecting on this pivotal moment in history. The collection highlights the sense of unity experienced by the British people and their allies as World War II came to an end, while also paying tribute to the Isle of Man’s own wartime experience.

The designs feature iconic moments from across Britain, including street parties and the Royal Family’s appearance on the Buckingham Palace balcony. The collection also includes an image of VE Day celebrations captured by Manx photographer Leonard McCombe. This set is a fitting tribute for collectors and those with an interest in the Isle of Man’s role in wartime history.
