Limited to 1000 editions, this special commemorative cover will be issued by Britain's Crown Dependencies and Overseas Territory Guernsey, Isle of Man, Jersey and Gibraltar on June 6th 2019 to mark the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings on the beaches of Normandy. They continue this collaboration since releasing a 'Joint WW1 Commemorative Envelope' last November to mark 100 years since the signing of the Armistice Treaty.
The collaboration brings together one stamp from each of the postal administrations' D-Day issues released in recent times to commemorate 75 years of Operation Neptune. The stamps, which are cancelled with four different postmarks dated 06.06.19, are affixed to a specially designed envelope entitled 'Remembering the Sacrifices of our Men and Women D-Day – Gibraltar, Guernsey, Isle of Man, Jersey Remembers'. A card inserted into the envelope tells the story of D-Day from four different apsects.
