To commemorate the Christmas truces of December 1914, the Isle of Man Post Office is pleased to present a Stamp and Coin Cover in collaboration with Deutscher Bundestag in Berlin. It features two German stamps, commissioned through Sieger, and our Christmas Day Truce stamp cancelled with a facsimile red ink postmark on the 25th of December as well as a cupro-nickel Crown, issued by the Isle of Man Treasury, which features a football match and the familiar sentiment We Will Remember Them. It is limited to just 500 items and is a fitting commemoration of the reprieve that took place on this day 100 years ago.
A single stamp version, postmarked for the 24th of December and priced is also available.
