Vehicle licence forms can be completed and printed and submitted through your local post office or posted back to the licensing department.
Please find below a list of vehicle and driver application forms that can be downloaded, printed off and taken into any of the post offices on the island. The application will be completed within ten working days.
A dedicated Vehicle Traders counter is available at the Isle of Man Business Park, Douglas.
This counter also handles the acceptance of emergency transactions for driving licences and vehicle documents. The service enables documents to be produced the same day and posted out the same night if received before 15:30. Documents are not handed out over the counter. Emergency transactions will incur an additional fee of £23.00.
The counter is open Monday to Friday (except Bank Holidays) 9am to 5pm for emergency customers and 10am to 4pm for trade customers. The counter is closed for lunch from 12 - 1pm for lunch.
The Department of Infrastructure deals with transactions in relation to written off vehicles and vehicles that have non-standard documentation being used for the purpose of registration.
