Wrapping & Packing Advice
Make sure your items are packed safely and securely this Christmas.
Here are some handy packing tips:
- Use padded envelopes for items with sharp edges or odd shapes.
- Ensure outer containers are sturdy enough for what’s inside.
- Keep fragile items from touching each other or the sides of the box.
- Fill spaces with cushioning material like bubble wrap or packing chips, available at most Post Offices.
- Write the recipient's full address, including postcode, clearly on the package.
- Add a return address on the item.
- Include a contact name, address, and phone number inside.
- For destinations outside the UK, complete the relevant customs form.
- Secure all edges and openings with strong nylon or vinyl tape.
- Cover any sharp edges from staples or fasteners with tape.
- Use a ‘FRAGILE’ sticker if needed.
