Purchasing Signed For

Signed For can purchased from one of the conveniently located sub-post offices Island-wide or from our delivery offices in Douglas and Ramsey. Simply complete the postage slip, and hand over to the counter.  To find your nearest available location to purchase Signed For click here.

Customs Declarations

From Friday 1st January 2021, the requirement for accurate customs documentation for items containing goods sent to Rest of World addresses will also apply to European destinations and the Channel Islands. When mailing items containing goods to outside of the UK, you will need to accurately complete and sign a customs declaration. If using Signed For to send items to the Channel Islands, you will need to to complete a customs declaration.

If you are a marketplace seller, you can now use our online mail and parcel dispatch solution, Click and Dispatch, to manage your shipping requirements including purchasing postage, printing labels, storing and managing addresses, submitting online customs declarations and much more.

What compensation cover is provided with Signed For?

Signed For items are covered against loss or damage up to the sum of £20 or the value of the item, whichever is lower. Compensation for valuables, such as money and jewellery is not available on this service.

Valuables (money and jewellery) and items of greater value should be sent using Special Delivery which is a tracked and secure service.

Is my item guaranteed to arrive next day?

Signed For is not a time guaranteed service, however, we aim for your Signed For item to be delivered within two working days. For a guaranteed next day service to the UK  we recommend Special Delivery.

What happens if my Signed For item doesn't arrive?

Your item should arrive on time and in perfect condition. If an item of mail you have posted with us is lost or damaged and you have met the conditions of posting, you may be eligible for compensation. Please keep your proof of posting receipt.

How do I check if my Signed For item has been delivered?

You can confirm the delivery of Signed For mail with our online Track & Trace tool. You can also view the receiver's signature online. All you need to do is enter your 13 digit reference number.
